As a university student, I skipped class to see Jean Chretien make a campaign stop in Saskatoon. I got relatively close, close enough that when I hopped up on the rail to get a better view, a Mountie did a double take of my sudden movement.

"Do the kids have sunscreen on?" growls the momma bear. "Of course dear," I answer in quick reply "And bug spray?" "Absolutely. Of course they do, I have done this before." I give my best - I know dear smile.

Many new moms are excited to get back to exercising after having a baby. They want their bodies to return to the way they were before getting pregnant and they want it to happen fast.

Ed, my neighbour next door, has a different sense of humour than mine and he often tries out jokes on me. He had a Ben and Bob joke for me the other day. It went like this. Bob: Who introduced you to your wife? Ben: We just happened to meet.

This province has a lot of roads, all leading somewhere important, all seemingly under construction and all dotted with stories making Saskatchewan what it is. I spend a lot of time on those roads and sometimes I have to find a place to stay.

For 99.99999 per cent of humanity (and maybe a few more 999s), Aug. 24 will not be a big deal. For professional photographers, it could be the second coming. Or more like the fourth coming.

As promised, the Ps of daddy-hood need to be revisited, I had a pleasant reminder from our newest addition - announcing Mr. Jage Abdai.

Ed, my neighbour next door, is in his glory. He claims that the happy days of bachelorhood are here again. Ruby, his wife, is on a two-week trip with their daughter and her children. Ed claims he had his first wifeless breakfast this morning.

I've been very lucky throughout my life to really enjoy my work. My resumé lists a variety of odd and interesting jobs and summer employment has been an adventure.
