MELFORT — This year’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes honoured three people who had died in the last year that made a lot of effort to help those affected by domestic violence.

NIPAWIN — In sports your best players have to be your best players if you want to win. The Nipawin Hawks proved that rule to be true as they picked up a 4-3 win over the Steinbach Pistons in Game 1 action from the Anavet Cup in Steinbach.

MELFORT — A trustee representing Melfort has resigned – and the school division has decided not to replace him in a byelection. Todd Goudy was one of two Melfort trustees. He resigned because he was elected as the MLA for Melfort.

MELFORT — After looking at the costs of building two permanent classrooms at Melfort’s Maude Burke Elementary, the North East School Division has decided to go ahead with the project.
