Two suspects appear in court in Carry the Kettle quadruple murder

Two suspects charged in a quadruple homicide on Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation have been remanded in custody with new court dates set.

REGINA — New court dates have been set for two people charged in connection with a quadruple homicide on the Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation.

On Feb. 4, the File Hills First Nations Police Service received a report of sudden deaths at a home on the First Nation. Officers located the bodies of two men and two women, all of whom had been shot to death.

Eighteen-year-old Darius Racette appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Thursday, where he was remanded in custody until July 18.

His co-accused, a 15-year-old boy who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was remanded in custody until Tuesday for a bail hearing in Indian Head.
