Glentworth annual awards day was held at the Glentworth school gym on June 16 with SRC president Devany Mastad acting as emcee. Awards included: sports awards presented by the coaches for golf, cross country running, volleyball, curling, archery, badminton, track and field and high school rodeo, and the SRC awards.
The elementary awards were presented by Ms. Nelson to the Grade 1 and 2 classes and by Ms. McDowell to the Grade 3, 4 and 5 classes. The Grade 9 subject awards were presented by Ms. Loitz to Brynn Z. for English, math, social and science. The secondary subject awards presented by Ms. Gibson were awarded to Carson F. for English, math and social and by Mrs. Zak to Katelyn F. for science.
Mrs. Rieder presented the Honour Roll awards and the Credit Union bursary. She also presented the best attendance awards in the form of scholarships sponsored by the R.M. No. 45.
Special awards included: For the elementary athlete that went to Savannah P.; middle years athletes that went to Brynn Z. and Dan H.; secondary athletes that went to Miriah P. and Logan P.; Grade 11 high average went to Makinley O.; the Peterson Math Bursary was awarded to Devany M.; the GCS award was given to Devany M.; the Wildcat award went to Averie S.; the Jackie Huyghebaert award went to Payson P.; the Linda Froshaug Memorial award was given to Emily W.; the Linda Froshaug Scholarship went to Katelyn F.; the Yearbook Cover awards were given to Kaylin P. and Aspen B.; the CUPE scholarship was awarded to Logan P.; the JGL scholarship went to Logan P.
Other scholarships mentioned included University of Saskatchewan scholarships for Katelyn F. and Brody Z. and University of Regina scholarships for Callie M. and Taryn H. In her closing remarks, Mrs. Rieder acknowledged all those who helped make the year a success. The program closed with a slide show created by Mrs. Blake.
