Giselle’s ShowTyme Dance Studio held its yearend showcase at the Prince of Wales auditorium on May 27 in Assiniboia that featured a whirlwind of dance styles from classic ballet to modern jazz to urban hip hop and even to a traditional Scottish piece. The event took part in two showings, an afternoon show that featured solo and duet pieces, and the evening for group dances.
The auditorium was packed with friends,  family and fans of dance. Miss Teenage Southern Saskatchewan Rachel Leduc volunteered to assist at both shows. The early show also held a #HungerHero annual food drive asking all those attending to bring a non-perishable and non-expired food item.
It’s a celebratory year for Giselle’s ShowTyme Dance Studio, owned and operated by Giselle Wilson, which marks ten years in business in Assiniboia. In keeping with this anniversary year, the show’s theme was “It’s All About …Tyme”. The music for each of the dances followed this theme and in-between the sound of a ticking clock could be heard while dancers entered and exited the stage lending an atmosphere of “time”.
