Submitted - The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club continues to play on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 1 p.m. at the Wheatland Senior Centre. During July and August, however, games are played only on Monday evenings. The summer social supper and bridge will be held on Monday, June 15 with cocktails at 5:30, supper at 6 p.m., followed by bridge. Cost is $12 and contact Marion Brown for more information.
The Annual Meeting was held on May 4 and the Executive consists of: Manager - Barry Mactaggart, President - Jean Knibbs, Vice President - Lydia Milleker and Secretary/Treasurer - Diane Bell. Following the meeting five tables played and Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart claimed first place, Isabelle Butters and Marg Stewart came second, Warren Betker and Jim Kaz were third, and Jim Brown and Jean Knibbs were fourth.
May 11 had two tables and Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart were first place finishers, while Gord Bell and Jim Kaz were second.
Three tables played on May 14 and top honours went to Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart and second place went to Fran Franks and Andy Dumba.
On May 18 there were four and a half tables and Lucie Nickel and Lydia Milleker finished in first place edging out Erskine and Mildred Sandiford who came second, Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart were third, and Gord Bell and Rick Wanner were fourth.
Three and a half tables played on May 21 and Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel took top honours, Fred Milleker and Andy Dumba were second, and Jean Knibbs and Jean Fahlman were third.
May 25 had two and a half tables and Lydia Milleker and Lucie Nickel played at 70 percent to finish in first place, while Fred Milleker and Andy Dumba placed second.
On May 28 there were three tables and first place went to Barry Mactaggart and Gord Bell, while Jim Brown and Jim Kaz came second.
