A group of Farmers are planning on developing an Assiniboia farmers market. Stephen Megnibir and Jan Samoisette are developing a year-round farmers market in Assiniboia, to operate once a week, and possibly growing into a rotating schedule serving the surrounding towns.
The details are in the beginning stages looking for farmers with meat and produce and hand-crafted items to sell, and a location and community support.
The mission is to provide residents with farm fresh quality meats and produce to the population, promoting local commerce and prosperity.
Their mission is to encourage self-employment and job creation. They want to give back to the communities that support them by being mindful of building connection and creating a fun inclusive atmosphere for town people with opportunities to visit and enjoy music and creativity.
They feel the need to create healthy competition while providing an opportunity to buy and sell the necessities of life.
