To the Editor, Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Norbert Kovalovszky and I immigrated to Canada from Hungary when I was a young man in my 20s.

The huge combined choir of the Weyburn Comprehensive School performs the opening of the "Home for the Holidays" choral concert on Dec. 18, held in the Cafetorium before a full house.

Every once in a while someone in the news states something that makes me want to crank up a song by one of my favourite groups, the Eagles, that states basically, "Get Over It".

Weyburn Arts Council is once again seeking contributions for the James Weir Peoples Choice exhibit, which will run from January 7 to 31.

While I was at work one night at Dairy Queen, I was asked by a regular customer, "How is your Christmas in the Philippines?" Then I was silent for a few seconds. I suddenly felt how much I miss spending Christmas back home.

The Encore Choir perform, with musical accompaniment from Judy Holyer and Penny Leko, during the St. Michael School Christmas Music Concert on Dec.11.

The Holiday Train visits Weyburn on Monday, December 17. The 2012 CP Holiday Train program has a musical line-up that is sure to entertain people of all ages. The 14 brightly decorated cars are covered in hundreds of thousands of LED lights.

St. Michael's School will be hosting a live nativity scene, which will be performed in front of the school by the students on December 20. The scene will take place at 6:30 and then again at 7:15 p.m.
