Community Agencies have an extension to submit their application forms to receive funding from the 2021 Communithon. Interested non-profit organizations in the Weyburn and Area must complete a United Way Regina Funding Application package to be considered.

The extended deadline for applications is May 15, 2021 by 4 p.m. Interested non-profit organizations can request an application form by emailed Kristin Gushuliak at kgushuliak@unitedwayregina.ca. All applications will be reviewed by United Way Regina and the Allocation Committee of the Weyburn and Area Communithon, with the final decisions on 2021 Communithon Community Agencies announced after May 31, 2021.

Orgnizations are eligible to apply for 2021 Communithon funding if they are aligned with the United Way focus areas (All That Kids Can Be, Poverty to Possibility and Healthy People Strong Communities), will use the funds in the Weyburn area specifically, is incorporated under provincial or national jurisdiction, is a registered charity in Canada, and will assign a representative to the Communithon Committee.

The Weyburn Communithon will mark their 40th anniversary in 2021, during their live televised event on Friday, October 29th, 2021. The Communithon has a rich history of helping to raise much-needed funds for Community Agencies, and the programs and services that are provided in the Weyburn and area. In the past 40 years, it is estimated that over $4 million in funding has returned to our community, because of the hard work and dedication of the Communithon Committee.
