The Weyburn Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association is looking for volunteers for their in-school mentoring program, as well as for their regular "Big Brother" and "Big Sister" programs, and for their "Big Bunch" program which provides activities for their children.

For the in-school mentoring program, Weyburn Big Brothers matches an adult volunteer with an elementary-aged child who has room in their life for someone who cares.

This program runs the duration of the school year at the elementary schools in Weyburn, in which the mentor and the mentee spend one hour a week together, eating lunch, playing games, doing crafts or playing in the gym.

For the "Big Bunch" program, all children who are registered with Weyburn Big Brothers, including those on the waiting list, take part in a fun event once a month. In September, the group went bowling, and in October there will be Halloween fun, with a Valentine for Veterans to be held in November.

For information on volunteering with any program, contact Amy Mohr, executive director of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Weyburn.
