The Weyburn & District Chamber of Commerce has announced the date and format for its All Candidates Forum for the riding of Souris-Moose Mountain in the May 2 Federal Election. Candidates include Ed Komarnicki, Conservative Party; Allan Arthur, NDP; Bob Deptuck, Green Party; and Gerald Borrowman, Liberal Party.
"Once again the Chamber is glad to host the Forum for all four candidates in this election," said
Chamber Manager Jeff Richards. "We have adjusted the format slightly this year in order to get more questions answered and make the event a bit more informational for the voters."
The Chamber will be changing the format of their Forum from previous years, but not significantly. There will no longer be an open microphone portion of the event. Instead, the Chamber is soliciting questions from various groups and individuals, as well as Chamber Members. These questions will be posed by a Chamber volunteer. Each candidate will have a brief opportunity to introduce his or her self at the start of the forum. The event is open to the public at no charge.
The All Candidates Forum will take place on Wednesday, April 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Soo Theatre.
