The City of Estevan issued this announcement Thursday morning with regards to the watermain work on Souris Avenue South:
The City of Estevan has commenced a repair to a major water line along Souris Avenue (south).
It was hoped that the repair could have been completed on Wednesday, July 27, however the extent of the damage is greater than first expected, therefore repairs will continue on Thursday,July 28.
No customers were without water on Wednesday, but we anticipate that some customers in the Souris Avenue and Valley Street area may be affected on Thursday.
Efforts have been made to protect the open trench in the southbound lanes of Souris Avenue (Highway 47), but all motorists should used due care and diligence when driving in this area until all repairs are complete.
