ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service (EPS) made an arrest for impaired driving on Friday.

Officers attended to the scene of a motor vehicle collision in central Estevan, where a vehicle was reported to have struck a power pole. Upon further investigation, the driver was found to be impaired by alcohol.

He was transported to the police station, where after providing samples of his breath, was charged with impaired driving and driving while over .08. The 21-year-old Estevan man is scheduled to make his first court appearance in April.

The EPS received a complaint of a possible domestic disturbance around Third Street. He was lodged in cells until sober and will appear in court in April to answer to the charges.
