Summer is on its way and the luxury cars are making their way out of their winter safe keeping spots. The car washes begin to get busy, and car wax purchases rise quickly.

This is all just in time for the 5th Annual Moose Mountain Cruisin' which was celebrated on the May long weekend. It took place Friday, May 18 through Monday, May 21, 2012 at Manor. Last years event was cancelled due to flooding. This year the weather conditions stayed amazing for the rodeo grounds and the sun was enjoyed by all.

The event contained something for the whole family, and included several events.

Carlyle was the proud host of the Show and Shine display which took place at the local A&W.

The public Show and Shine included cars from as far back as 1928, in a great variety of models and colours.

"It got us here from Kisbey," said Joanna Nankivell, of her Hudson Landau antique car from 1929. "We didn't break down and we got here in one piece."

The A&W took this event seriously, and brought out the old fashioned trays attaching them to vehicles who ordered food. The burgers and fries were even served by young girls in original A&W dresses.

CJ 1280 radio was also present from Estevan, selling hot dogs for MS awareness, with all donations going to research for a cure.

The sun lasted the entire day and pulled in a full parking lot of viewers the entire time.

Door prizes were given to cars, and tickets were placed on their registration papers on their windshields notifying the owners to pick up the prizes.

The show lasted from noon until 3:30 p.m. and was followed by a barbeque dinner for all the participants.
