Estevan woman arrested, facing eight charges

A 29-year-old woman has been charged with robbery, theft of motor vehicle, assault, possession of stolen property and four counts of breaching probation.

ESTEVAN -  The Estevan Police Service has announced numerous charges against a 29-year-old Estevan woman.

She was arrested and remanded in custody. The woman will appear in court Monday morning on eight charges: robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, assault, possession of stolen property and four counts of breaching probation.

The EPS noted on Saturday the woman had allegedly been involved in an assault at a hotel room and the theft of property. 

In other recent police news, members received a complaint of uttering threats at a workplace. The matter is still under investigation.

Police arrested a 27-year-old Estevan man for impaired driving. He subsequently refused to provide a breath sample and was charged with that offence under the Criminal Code.

Police issued a 72-hour driver's licence suspension to a 27-year-old Estevan man for driving while under the influence of marijuana. The vehicle has also been seized.

Police arrested and charged a 46-year-old Estevan woman for impaired driving. She was later released for court in February.

A report of a male walking out on a bill at a local restaurant was also received. He was located a short time later and charged with fraudulently obtaining food and breaching his probation order.
