Story:The Family Place wants residents to mark their calendars for their sixth annual Gargantuan Garage Sale to be held from April 28 to 30 at the Weyburn Curling Rink.
Plans for this year's fundraising event are underway and Special Events Coordinator Jennifer Morin said that The Family Place is hoping for a tremendous success.
"Last year, through a lot of hard work and the generosity of the community, we were able to fundraise approximately $20,000 from the proceeds of the Garage Sale," said Morin. "The canteen will be open on all three days of the sale. Come out and enjoy this ever growing and fun family-oriented community event!"
Anyone wishing to donate gently used items in good condition is urged to do so.Household items, games, toys, kitchenware or furniture are all welcome. The Family Place is requesting that items are safely stored until drop-off dates at the Curling Rink: Tuesday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Thursday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"Weyburn and area residents will have a lot to choose from when shopping for treasures," Morin added.
The Gargantuan Garage Sale will be open to the public from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.
