New city manager named for City of Weyburn

The City of Weyburn announced that Roy Hardy has been appointed the position of city manager for the City of Weyburn. Hardy will come to Weyburn from his previous position as city manager of Humboldt.

The City of Weyburn announced that Roy Hardy has been appointed the position of city manager for the City of Weyburn.
Hardy will come to Weyburn from his previous position as city manager of Humboldt. Hardy is community oriented and excels in strategic planning and priority based budgeting. He will bring his passion, skills in problem solving, community engagement, and desire for new experiences to the City of Weyburn starting on Monday, August 14.
Hardy commented, “Weyburn is a leading regional commercial hub, well-known nationally for its quality of life. I am excited to work together with city council, staff and the community to move the Opportunity City toward its vision for an innovative and sustainable future.”
City Council is excited to welcome Hardy to his new role. Coun. Jeff Richards stated, “Mr. Hardy brings experience from a number of different communities, and we're excited to take advantage of his skills. His innovative style combined with Weyburn's strong history of sound management puts our community in a very good position for the future. We are looking forward to having him on our team.”
Hardy will be taking over for Bob Smith who left the position in March after serving as Weyburn’s City Manager for 19 years.
