Saying, "the sky's the limit," does not apply to the new fitness centre set to open in Arcola.

Taralyn French (Project Manager) is very excited for the grand opening of, No. Limits. Fitness Centre, in Arcola.

Saying, "the sky's the limit," does not apply to the new fitness centre set to open in Arcola. Taralyn French has always been a very active person, having recently returned to Arcola from playing volleyball in Idaho, she was ready to continue her fitness training and has become project manager of something she is very excited about. Together with her family they have decided to construct a gym in Arcola to fill the need of not only hers, but of many individuals in the town and surrounding community. The gym, aptly named, No. Limits. Fitness Centre, will hold a grand opening on Dec. 3.

"I'm into fitness and the family is too. I'm active every day. I think it would be a great asset for Arcola to have their own as so many people would work on their fitness if they didn't have to travel a great distance to the gym," French explained.

The gym will have two levels and is quite large with 2,800 square feet for people to work out in. There will be change rooms, a yoga room, weight room, and an infrared sauna, which French's mother, Colleen, explains will be beneficial.

"Infrared saunas are supposed to be good for older people who might have arthritis, MS, or other muscular problems," Colleen French stated.

Currently they are looking into various classes which may include yoga, zumba, meditation, sculpting classes and fitness challenges. The two stated that there are so many options out there they must decide what would be the right choice to bring to Arcola. One of the confirmed classes will be led by Marshell Ennis, the 8th strongest man in the world.

"He puts on camps and training for heavy lifting." Taralyn explained.

Therefore, the strong man will be holding a strength and conditioning boot camp using a kettle ball, rope, and strength training. Another possibility with Ennis already travelling to Arcola to hold the boot camp is highland game training if there is enough interest. More information about Ennis can be found on his Facebook page: A Strong Impression, or on his website: www.marshallennis.com.

Currently everything is being readied for the grand opening and the French's are excited to bring this service to the community.

"It has been a lot more work than we thought, but we're enjoying the process," French explained.

The gym will be open 24 hours, seven days a week. Those who are members of the gym will be given a key fob and will be able to come at anytime. It will be a self run gym as there will not always be someone at the front desk welcoming people to the facility, though, for the first couple of months Taralyn will be available. She will be on hand to assist with any questions people may have as well as issue memberships.

The French's felt the facility was something the town was missing. There are many people who live in town and are excited about the grand opening to come.

"It isn't about being perfect or having a jacked body, it's about fitness," Taralyn is known to say.

The French's gym is simply a way to encourage everyone to get out and exercise. It is a great lifestyle choice and is important for maintaining one's health.

Membership prices have been determined with $50 per month or $500 per year plus GST. All prices include the infrared sauna at No. Limits.

A great deal being offered, however, is a one-month membership for $40. This offer is only available within the first two weeks of operation, so make sure to look into the new facility in Arcola soon.

The French's have put a lot of work into readying the facility and are happy to have it opening on Dec. 3, something that was made possible through the support of their friends and family. Already community members have been heard commenting on how they look forward to the facility being opened, as they will be able to go to No. Limits. while their children are at practices for various sports.

Filling a community need and doing something she is passionate about, Taralyn French, is greatly looking forward to opening the new business.
