During the week, police responded to 93 calls for service. Many were concerned with young people.

*On March 22, police stopped an erratic driver operating his vehicle without lights about 4:00 a.m. on Sims Avenue service road. The driver was on conditions not to leave Manitoba. Investigation later discovered that the driver had a death wish and wanted to be killed by a semi in a head on accident. His family was contacted in Manitoba, they came to Weyburn and arrangements were made for the man to receive mental health treatment.

*A follow up investigation was done at a residential location. The owner has a lifetime ban on being able to have animals in his care. More charges are pending.

*A woman complained about her daughter receiving threats from another woman. The threat implied that she would be run over by a vehicle. Charges are pending.

*A woman called from Ontario reporting that her daughter was living in an abusive relationship. The couple had recently moved from Ontario. The matter was resolved and they were encouraged to seek counseling.

*A mother attended the police station, upset that her daughter was being abusive and breaking items in their home. The situation was mediated without charges.

*On March 21, police assisted EMS in attending an injured person at Navou Park. As a result of a fight inside the trailer, a man had cut his arm and needed treatment. One man was arrested and taken to cells and another taken to the hospital.

*An intoxicated young woman entered an apartment building on Bison Avenue and she kicked in an apartment door. She was arrested and held in cells till sober. She was charged for mischief and breaching her conditions on previous court sentences.

*A landlord requested assistance in controlling a former tenant who continued to enter the dwelling after the rental agreement was expired. The matter was resolved without charges.

*An elderly gentleman gave out his credit card number to telephone solicitors. The matter was obviously fraudulent. Advice was given to cancel the transaction as well as the credit card.

*A complaint was received about people parking in the alley behind 1833 Coteau Avenue. Several vehicles were ticketed. This parking situation could be dangerous if fire vehicles needed to access this area.

*An impaired driver was involved in an accident in the Barber Crescent area. The man responsible for the accident was charged with impaired driving and open liquor in a motor vehicle.

*An alleged assault happened in the Souris Valley grounds. A man was charged for assaulting two young girls.

*An erratic driver was observed by police on Fifth Street. The man driving was apprehended in the downtown area and he was charged for impaired driving.

*On March 20, a conflict developed between owners of two vehicles parked in the lot at the Real Canadian Wholesale. A man was upset that a woman parked too close to his vehicle. He threatened to ram his vehicle into hers if she didn't move.

*On March 19, police were called to assist the staff at the King George. Several customers had been asked to leave and were refusing to comply. Once they knew police had been called they left before police arrived.

*Assistance was given to a young lady who complained about an ex-boyfriend showing nude pictures of her to his friends. Officers attended his residence and the pictures were deleted from electronic devices.

*A young woman was arrested on a Regina-based warrant. She was served the necessary court documents and released to attend court on a future date.

*Police are investigating the physical abuse of a child. During a confrontation between the parents, a child ended up being assaulted as well. Social Services are assisting in the investigation.
