Southeast Connection Sport, Culture & Recreation District hosted their Pep Rally on February 8 at the Weyburn Junior High School to celebrate and prepare athletes, coaches and managers of Team Southeast! Team Southeast will be competing against eight (8) other Districts across the province at this provincial multi-sport event. The Winter Games take place in Prince Albert from February 15-22.

"I would like to give special praise and congratulations to the individuals that have volunteered their time as coaches, managers and mission staff. There would be no games experience without your leadership and support,"said Helen Fornwald, Southeast Connection chair.

Doug Dahl, member of the Prince Albert Games Host Committee congratulated Team Southeast on making it to the Games.

P.A. Power, a group of youth dancers and singers from the host committee, got the audience and athletes up and dancing in preparation for the Winter Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies. All of the sport teams were introduced and received their games uniforms.

"As athletes, you will be staying in the Athletes Village and will have an opportunity to meet other athletes from across the province. Families of athletes are encouraged to visit the Southeast Mission Desk, a designated area open to the public located within the Athletes Village, where visitors can connect with athletes, learn about sports results and ask questions," Nicole Clow, Southeast Connection Games Coordinator, said addressing the athletes at the pep rally.
