Soon the halls of WCS will be filled with hundreds of enthusiastic student leaders from across Canada in Weyburn to learn and share information and activities that will help them to lead their fellow students in their respective schools.

Arcola began hosting a craft show in 2003 at the Prairie Place Complex. Marie Milligan and Dora McKinnon began the event, which used to be hosted in Memorial Hall during Homespun.

Internet and online marketing experts will be in Weyburn on October 3 to speak at a social media workshop for the business community. Mike Klein, CEO of Meshy Communications Inc.

The Communithon Committee is currently meeting every week throughout September and October.

Cienna Friesen, a little girl from Wawota, daughter to Rochelle (Ford) Friesen and Darren Friesen, her father who passed away in a quad accident a few years ago. Cienna was diagnosed with a brainstem glioma and will need treatments in Toronto.

Education Minister Russ Marchuk joined students, dignitaries and representatives from the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division in Weyburn to celebrate the official grand opening of the school with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
