The Humboldt Broncos have started the rebuilding process with their on-ice talent.

The Broncos selected several players from teams around the SJHL in order to help restock their roster following the bus crash that claimed the lives of over half the players and staff in April.

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins will be able to wait until they need to surrender a player to the list of the Broncos, but other teams lost players to the Broncos, as the league announced the arrangement for player selection will be made in the future.

The players included Connor Smith of the Battlefords, Bryson Cecconi of Kindersley, Shane Hounsell of La Ronge, Eric McNeilly and Ayden Third of Melfort, Ethan Kopyczyn of Melville, Ahmed Ally of Notre Dame, Austin Mikesch of Nipawin, Jessie Young of Weyburn and Kyle Sargent of Yorkton.

The SJHL’s board of governors voted unanimously to provide players to the Broncos.
