The Bruins have chosen their two goalies to move forward with and Derek Tendler is the odd man out.

He was released by the team yesterday, with Keith Cassidy saying they are "mutually parting ways."

Tyler Ross was brought in last week to increase the competition in the crease and the team chose to move ahead with him and Steven Glass.

Tendler has had a rough year statistically, recording a 5-8-1 record along with a 4.07 goals-against average and .874 save percentage.

The 19-year-old Regina product had joined the Bruins at the start of the year after being cut by the Swift Current Broncos.

"He's a good guy that will be sticking around as part of the community, and hopefully we can keep him involved with the team somehow," Keith said via text.

"It was a good positive conversation. He's a pretty insightful young guy with a good head on his shoulders."

Other than that, the phones continue to ring but all is so far quiet on the Bruins' trade front. Will keep you posted throughout the day.
