Junior Rebels underwent two defeats last weekend

The Junior B Rebels matched-up against Carrot River Outback Thunder on November 15 and were destroyed with a final result of 7-1 for the visiting team.

The Junior B Rebels matched-up against Carrot River Outback Thunder on November 15 and were destroyed with a final result of 7-1 for the visiting team. However, it should be noted that the Rebels battled hard throughout this game, as they followed through with 29 shots aimed at the enemy’s net, verses Thunder’s total of 36 blasts at the home team’s twines.

The Rebels had a single goal in the game against Carrot River at 14:58 in the second period, when Cayden Price slammed one in with the assistance of John Priela and Cole Zieg. The Rebels are scheduled to meet Carrot River once again on their turf on November 23 at the Carrot River Arena.

The Rebels faired a bit better on Saturday when they played the Regina Silver Foxes in the Doug Wickenheiser Arena on November 16, leaving with a score of 3-4. Assiniboia scored early in this game at 14:39 after Hunter Johnson stormed through with help from Riley Skarbon and Randy Stowe. Then the Rebels dominated the second period after Riley Skarbon bombarded the Foxes at 14:17 during a power play with support from Randy Stowe and Dawson Diekrager. The Rebels followed-up with a full-on assault at 13:06 as Cayden Price drove one home, aided by Tyde Hutchinson and Reese Rutko.

However, the Foxes claimed the rest of this game, scoring a tying goal in the third period at 18:26. The Foxes finished the match in their favour, after launching one through Assiniboia’s net at 4:22.  

For their next game, the Rebels are scheduled to meet up with Fort Knox at the Fort Qu’Appelle Rexentre in Fort Qu'Appelle on November 20. A day before the game in Carrot River, the Rebels will play against the Saskatoon Westleys on November 22 at the Rod Hamm Arena in Saskatoon.
