Ladies 13th annual tournament attracts over 100 golfers

The Weyburn Ladies Golf Club held their 13th annual golf tournament on July 27 and 28 with 103 golfers participating.

The Weyburn Ladies Golf Club held their 13th annual golf tournament on July 27 and 28 with 103 golfers participating.

Championship flight winners: Denise Wilson - first; Kim Walker - second; Crystal Piero - third, Cheryl Rommann - fourth and Carol Spanks - fifth.

First flight winners: Pattie Lank - first; Deanna Mainil - second; Carolyn Kryba - third; Anita Ford - fourth and Terry Gaube - fifth.

Second flight winners: Denise Hersikorn - first; Charlene Kozak - second; Sherry Huyghebaert - third; Blanche McRae - fourth and Sheila Palmer - fifth.

Third flight winners: Shelly Big Eagle - first; Aggie Potapinski - second; Joanne Seitz - third; Bonnie Sidloski - fourth and Donna Coulter - fifth.

Fourth flight winners: Cathy Lawless - first; Linda Collins - second; Pat Butner - third; Roseanne Miller - fourth and Linda Poole - fifth.

Fifth flight winners: Andrea Heath - first; Brenda Kosior - second; Judy Elias - third; Rose Levesque - fourth and Colleen Brown - fifth.

Sixth flight winners: Patti Marisa - first; Cindy Jones - second; Marilyn Reddy - third; Rebecca Renard - fourth and Deanna Hubic - fifth.

Seventh flight winners: Reta Pyett - first; Lorraine Lynch - second; Melodye Leko - third; Patricia Ashworth - fourth and Joan Schneider - fifth.

Specialty prize winners for July 27 were: Longest drive 0-10 handicap - Shelley Big Eagle; 11-21 handicap - Judy Giblett and 22 and over handicap - Rebecca Renard; longest putt - Judy Goeres; closest to the pin on the second shot - Carmen Scott; closest to the pin - Lorraine Lynch. July 28 winners were: Longest drive 0-10 handicap - Shelley Big Eagle; 11-21 handicap - Judy Giblett and 22 and over handicap - Joanne Seitz; longest putt - Kathy Schnell; closest to the pin on the second shot - Kim Walker; closest to the pin - Val Cawood.

In the 13 year history of the Ladies Open Golf tournament, there has never been a hole-in-one recorded. This year, there were two hole-in-ones. On Saturday, July 27, Lorraine Lynch of Regina aced hole #7 and on Sunday, July 28, Reta Pyett of California scored a one on hole #3.
