Movember results: DeLaet finishes top four in Canada

DeLaet, who sported a beard during the PGA Tour playoffs, had supported Movember for a number of years. His contributions also counted as a portion towards Canada's overall fundraising efforts, which totalled over $28 million.

From Saskatchewan supporters, $847,418 was raised.

The Estevan, Weyburn and Regina offices of MNP also raised funds, with 17 active participants raising $9,579. The Weyburn MNP office raised $2,268 and the Estevan MNP office raised $2,278.

In addition, MNP as a firm raised $48,622, which places them in the top 50 networks in all of Canada.

The funds raised will be directed toward programs run directly by Movember and Prostate Cancer Canada.

As an official global charity, Movember's vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men's health. During November each year, Movember encourages men to join the movement by growing a moustache for the month of November.

Through the power of the moustache, vital funds and awareness are raised to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges.

With his beard freshly shaved, DeLaet will return to the golf course for the Franklin Templeton Shootout, to be held from Friday to Sunday, Dec. 13 to 15, He is paired with Mike Weir. It is the first time these two Canadian to be paired with each other in a tournament.
