The Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association (SHSAA), along with the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport, has proclaimed October 14 to 20, 2012 as School Sport Week in Saskatchewan.
The SHSAA will kick-off the weeklong celebration with the Provincial Cross Country Championships at Echo Valley Provincial Park on October 13, 2012. SHSAA Executive Director Kevin Vollet and SHSAA President Roger Morgan will be on hand to address the 600 participants expected at this year's championship. 'School Sport Week' will conclude with regional soccer championships occurring at various locations around the province. Teams will vie for a spot in the SHSAA Provincial Soccer Championships which take place October 26 to 27, 2012.
