The weekend approaches and on this side of the country it's the time when excitement brews as each day ends, yes; it's rodeo time.

And if you're in the southeast this coming weekend grab your boots and 10 gallon hat because the boys are here to do what they do best. In the town of Kennedy there will be the 81stMoose Mountain Pro Rodeo completion on July 20 while some miles away Manor will have its 34th annual Fun Daze event. Manor Fun Daze had a turnout of over 400 people last year and 25 of Canada's top bull riders. This year patrons can expect the high quality bull rider they got in 2012. Professional Bull Rider (PBR) action begins at 5:30 pm and again will showcase over 25 top riders.

Judging by last years' turn out both events promise to be an opportunity for family fun. The Moose Mountain Rodeo will kick off with the usual pancake breakfast on Saturday from 7am-9am and then a parade on Main Street at 11am. Admission for preschoolers is free but adults pay a $15 and those under 17 are charged $10. There will be carnival rides for children and a demolition derby but main feature; the rodeo performance will begin at 5pm. Sunday offers similar activities but there's a Christian Cowboy service at 11am and dinner after the rodeo performance which is slated for 2pm.

The rodeo stock will be provided by Big Stone Rodeo and the announcer for the day will be Brett Gardiner. Weekend family passes are available for $75 which covers two parents and three children under 18.
