Our hockey season has officially come to a close. And what a fantastic season it was!!
Our home tournament was held on Saturday, Mar. 2. Our moms who organized the workers, raffle tables and punch board! We appreciate all our tournament sponsors, without you it wouldn't have been possible.
Our last game of the season took place in Whitewood on Mar. 9 against the Elks. We skated hard the entire game and scored some goals. It was very close right until the end and the game ended in a tie. Way to go Cougars!!
We ended the season with a mom vs. kids hockey game on Mar. 10. It was a lot of fun! After the game, we enjoyed pizza, pop and dilly bars.
To Coach Wade, Coach Kristi and Grandpa Gord, we appreciate all the time and effort you have put in this season with the kids. For the countless hours you've spent on and off the ice, teaching the kids the skills they need. Your dedication and direction has created a love of hockey for our children. Thank you!! To the parents, I know you've spent hours waiting in stands, with cold hands and feet, cheering on every goal and every save. For buying the gas, doing the driving, and helping to get these little people dressed several times every week.
Finally to our little hockey players, we have loved every minute of watching you play on the ice. It has been an amazing experience to watch your skills develop over the season and your improvements every game. You always tried your best, never giving up and giving us something to keep us busy over the winter! It was a great season!!
