Dylan Smith scored 28 seconds into overtime to give the Estevan Bruins an unlikely come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Melville Millionaires Wednesday night at Spectra Place.

After a big stop by Bruins goalie Derek Tendler at one end, Smith took a slick forward pass from Cole Olson and snapped it short side past Mils goalie Alex Sirard to earn the two points.

Despite an ugly first two periods from the Bruins (5-2), Calder Neufeld scored with 3.3 seconds left in the middle frame to cut their deficit to 2-1 leading into the third.

The Bruins caught fire in the final stanza, pounding 16 shots at Sirard and overcoming an early goal by Michael Desjarlais with markers from Neufeld and Jelinski just 22 seconds apart.

Jesse Mireau and Michael Sagen scored for Melville (1-3-1-1) in the first period.

It was Estevan's third win in as many tries against Melville this season, and their fourth straight victory. Shots on goal were 37-30 for the Bruins.
