Weyburn Special O bowlers place at Canada Winter Games

A team of Special Olympics bowlers from Weyburn took part in the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Thunder Bay in the past week, in the five-pin bowling event.

A team of Special Olympics bowlers from Weyburn took part in the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Thunder Bay in the past week, in the five-pin bowling event.

The bowlers competed in singles as well as in the team event, and placed well in their categories.

As a team, they placed fourth in the M2 final. The team was comprised of Elias Pick, Gerald Langlois, Christopher Keller, Justin De Roos and Robert Janke, and were coached by JoAnn Paxman.

The bowlers placed as follows in the singles events.

Pick finished in third place in the M03 final, while Keller placed second in the M04 final, and Langlois came in sixth in the same event.

De Roos placed seventh in the M09 final, and Janke placed eighth in the M12 final.
