The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce announced that nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 Golden Spike Award.
If you know someone who has made an outstanding contribution to our community through their volunteer services through the years, please nominate them for the Golden Spike Award.
“The Chamber has been presenting the Golden Spike Award since 1982, and many deserving recipients have received this recognition for their volunteer work which helps Weyburn build a strong community,” said Chamber manager Rochelle Wendt.
“Every year at our President’s Dinner and Annual General Meeting, we take the opportunity to recognize the Golden Spike Award winner. And each year, we have many excellent nominations to choose from,” added Wendt.
Nominations are due by Friday, March 4, and the nomination forms can be picked up at the Chamber office or found online at http://weyburnchamber.com/about-the-chamber/awards.
The winner of the Golden Spike Award will be presented at the President’s Dinner and Annual General Meeting taking place on Wednesday, March 16.
