Weyburn Review

The seventh annual Gateway Festival is in the books and being dubbed a success, despite having to cancel two of its top headliners because of tornado fears. The music festival was held July 22 to 24 in Bengough.

A Weyburn son will be returning to the city today for the purpose of supporting the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation, which has the ominous task of fundraising for a new acute-care hospital in Weyburn.

During the week of July 18 to 24, the Weyburn Police Service received 107 calls for service. Theft of wire was investigated at the Sask. Power compound on July 24. The matter is under investigation.
