Prices mixed at mid-summer cattle sales in Assiniboia
The Assiniboia Livestock Auction held its regular cull cow and bull sale on August 2 with 235 head sold. This number is down significantly from the 250 sold at the previous sale on July 21 and from the 431 sold on July 5.

Prince of Wales hires new manager
The Prince of Wales Centre in Assiniboia welcomed Susan Wilson as its new general manager in late July. She replaces Kaylee Beck. Wilson comes from Coronach and has been living in Assiniboia for the past year.

Dutch Elm cases reported in Assiniboia
The Town of Assiniboia has confirmed some recent cases of Dutch Elm disease in trees in town. The town’s tree contractor will be removing the town-owned trees beginning the week of July 24 on the 500 block of Third Avenue East.
