Visitors won’t be able to get their cute prairie dog fix for a while in the West Bloc of Grasslands National Park. “In the beginning of July, the park found a dead prairie dog and sent it for testing,” explained Adrianna Bekeski from Parks Canada.

Back in 1967 the bustling town of Ormiston really got involved in celebrating Canada’s Centennial. At the time, four 11-year old friends decided to walk from Ormiston to Moose Jaw to commemorate the 100th anniversary.
