Upcoming Vial of Life information sessions

On Feb. 18 in Redvers at the public library from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and in Carlyle at the public library on Feb. 19 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. a free information session will be held by Jackie Dauvin concerning The Vial of Life.

The February Break is next week. There is no school for the week of February 18 to 22. School resumes on Monday, February 25. Term 2 report cards went home last week.

Bylaws discussed at Carlyle town council

Town Council met on Wednesday Jan. 30, which was changed from the first Wednesday of February to account for councillors away at convention. This meeting addressed a number of topics including general discussion of the usual business.

Bernardo (Dean) Albano Jr. was born to parents Helen, a medical transcriptionist and Bernardo Sr. on May 15, 1960. Dean was a father, son, grandfather, uncle, brother, fierce friend and husband.

Between Jan. 25 and Jan. 31 the Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP had 57 files. On Jan. 25 a complaint was received concerning someone threatening harm to another person. The RCMP investigated and spoke with the parties involved.

On Feb. 2 Penny Buhr Johnson performed at the Wawota Town Hall bringing her back to the venue of her first concert. Currently living in Caronport Johnson was very happy to be back in Wawota for the evening.
