The Kenosee Lake Kids Camp, which is sponsored by the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party, was held from Saturday, July 28, to Tuesday, July 31. The camp took place at the Boys and Girls Camp within Moose Mountain Provincial Park.

They have always said that everyone in Saskatchewan has at least one foot on the farm. To some extent, this remains true. But there are a few other realities we factor into this old cliché.

Over the years writing this column I have been a supporter of the idea of genetically modified agriculture. When I look to the future and see two trends which suggest to me the need for genetically modified crops and livestock.

On Sunday, Aug. 5, Cannington Fair was held. It is the largest celebration that the park puts on every year and it was attended by many. On a beautiful day with the sun shining families from all over attended the festivities.

The Carlyle and District Leisure Complex has received a generous donation from CanElson Drilling.

It has been an agonizingly long time since we've heard from the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Olympics, a time when many are amazed by feats of people who have dedicated their lives to doing well in their respective sports. There are, however, always scandals to go along with the prestigious event.

The museum is open all summer long for tourists and locals to come and explore. The children there on August 1 however got to explore more than the confines of the buildings walls.

August long weekend saw many come together to celebrate on the grounds of the Bear Claw Casino. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th of August saw people gather to celebrate First Nations culture.

I don't watch a lot of television anymore. This could be partially because of my busy schedule and partially because I decided not to invest in cable after moving to my apartment due to the internet being more important to me.
