The Wawota Lions Club held their 18th Annual Farmers and Ranchers Golf Tournament on July 13. With hot weather and clear skies it was an enjoyable day. It began with a buffet breakfast held at Golf Kenosee in Club 19 between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 75 calls between July 6th and July 12th. A 911 call started the day on the sixth, with members attending a report of an intoxicated person fighting in Kenosee Lake.
