Game 2 - Playoffs Tuesday, Feb. 11, the Cougars headed to Bienfait to redeem themselves. The only way to describe this game is INTENSE! The Cougars really needed the win and were working hard to get it.

The Oxbow Prairie Horizons School Black Knights cheer team had a performance to remember at their first competition.

Approximately 1.2 million litres of oil leaked from that train derailment near Guernsey earlier this month. That’s only slightly less than the 1.5 million litres lost in in a nearby rail oil tanker car spill a month earlier.

It is one of the more notable examples of synchronicity for my husband and I. It happens this week--February 20 to be exact. Something for him; something for me. They have no connection except that they, to my delight, happen on the same day.

I freely admit it. I’m addicted to doing crossword puzzles. Plain and simple, I take every opportunity I can to relax in my favourite chair, take out my pencil and eraser and start filling in blanks.

GFK Ski Trip The GFK Ski Trip was a great success once again. Thanks to all the Grade 9 class for representing so well and thanks to all the parents who volunteered their time chaperoning.

The Carlyle Novice Cougars (Chris) were back in action on Feb. 8 vs the Estevan Canucks for their sixth league game of the season.

Friday, February 7 was a great day for the Manor Fire Department and two lucky winners of Manor’s “Chase the Ace” fundraiser, as this was the final evening for the jackpot to be won.
