There is no school on Friday, March 13 and Monday, March 16 (Staff professional development). Student Led Conferences are on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM both evenings.

During World War II, Holland was occupied by the German forces and was repatriated by Canadian soldiers. Some of these Canadian soldiers had roots close to home here in the Carlyle area.

The Bantam Cougars have finished their regular season and finished in 4 th place out of 10 teams in the league. The team played 18 games and won 11, lost 5 games, and tied 2 games and finished with 24 points.

The Carlyle Peewee Cougars have had a great season so far and finished up their regular season in third place behind Redvers and Wawota. They played 18 games this season and won 14, lost 4, ending the season with 28 points.

Simmer down. It’s what our teachers used to tell us when we were misbehaving. And it appears it’s what politicians and stakeholders behaving like unmanageable petulance children now need to hear.

Another Lent and everything has changed

This week has been packed with appointments and activities, including the celebration of yet another birthday. The former has been a mixture of relief and some frustration while the birthday part has definitely been filled with beautiful blessings.

It's more than chocolate, coffee or sugar

A decades-long tradition will be making its return to the southeast corner of the province next month. The 61st annual Carnduff and District Music and Arts Festival will take place March 8-12 at locations in Carnduff and Oxbow.
