It appears three key positions within the City of Estevan have been filled.

Saskatchewan’s highways are now a little more colourful. Beginning Dec. 21, blue and amber flashing lights were activated on all Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure snow removal equipment during regular winter maintenance activities.

During the early morning hours of Dec. 20, EPS members arrested and charged a 21-year-old male with possession of five grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The street value of the cocaine was estimated at about $700.

Although Estevan still leads provincially in the average price of rent for two-bedroom apartments, it is no exception to the trend of downward pressure on the price of rent, and increasing number of rental unit vacancies in Saskatchewan.

Southeast College last week announced the launch of a new scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year. The $1,000 annual scholarship will add to the list of other scholarships currently totalling over $70,000 in value.
