We might be missing something by not writing to one another.

When the International Souris River Board of directors met in Estevan this past week, they had a couple of items on their agenda that spoke of managing the water in the Souris River Basin.

It was mostly about the numbers for the trustees of the South East Cornerstone Public School Division on June 18, when they met for their general business session in the division’s head office in Weyburn.

The Estevan KPC mosquito AAA Sluggers bats came alive during a 19-11 win over the White Butte Broncos on June 21, in White City. Estevan was supposed to play two games against the Broncos but game two was cancelled due to rain.

United Way Estevan will be looking to raise $338,000 this year to satisfy the needs of the organization’s 17 member agencies and three community impact projects. The theme for the organization this year will be Lead the Way.

Murray Cowan is excited to be taking on the inspector’s duties with the Estevan Police Service (EPS). Cowan participated in a promotion ceremony during the June 16 meeting of the Estevan Board of Police Commissioners.

Crafts, swimming and other activities for youth will once again be offered at Estevan’s Playparks this summer. The parks will open for the season on June 29.

Access Communications is the newest diamond event sponsor for the Estevan 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games, and they are also the official broadcast sponsor for the games as well.

The Estevan junior Coaler Rollers roller derby team concluded the season with a black versus pink scrimmage game during their windup on June 21. The game included both level one and two skaters along with the level three skaters.

The Estevan Golden Eels Swim Club competed in their first swim meet of the season in Humboldt on June 20, and placed second overall. Seventeen Golden Eels swam in the meet, with six of them earning medals.
