Estevan Fire Rescue Service (EFRS) crews were called out twice over the past weekend. On Saturday, at about 3:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a grass fire southeast of Estevan.

There are 300 new cases of COVID-19 and 253 recoveries to report in Saskatchewan on April 12, bringing the provincial total to 36,604 cases.

The snowfall that hit southeast Saskatchewan Sunday and Monday created some beautiful photos in the area.

A snowfall warning has been issued for the Carlyle area and the far southeast corner of the province. According to the warning, issued by Environment Canada at 10:03 a.m., snow that is heavy at times will continue over the region on Monday.

An additional 13,170 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 282,065. This is the highest daily doses administered to date.

Power has been restored in the Estevan area. SaskPower crews were at the scene of a power outage Sunday. The Crown corporation said in a tweet Sunday at 7:55 a.m.
