The East Coast sounds of the group “Pretty Archie” will fill the stage at the Cugnet Centre in Weyburn on Monday, Dec. 3, a presentation of the Weyburn Concert Series.

Adam Lojewski’s stand-up comedy performance at the Black Grasshopper restaurant in Estevan on Nov. 17 represented a homecoming.

The Bienfait Lions Community Theatre returned this past weekend after a one-year hiatus, and this year’s show was done in honour of the man who played such a key role in initiating the theatre years ago.

The legacy of pianist, music teacher and organist Helen Davidson was added to, with the dedication of a brand new piano on Thursday at the Tatagwa View long-term centre.

After months of practices and rehearsals, students at the Estevan Comprehensive School are ready to perform the musical Footloose for the community. Performances will happen on Nov. 29 and 30 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 1 and 2 at 2 p.m.

Byron Fichter is well-known locally for his love for photography. His worked has been showcased in exhibits, and he has garnered acclaim from both Canada and the U.S.

The Bienfait Lions Club paid tribute to the late Dwight Thompson during their community theatre from Nov. 23-25. Thompson was instrumental in launching the theatre in 2004, and was part of the cast each year from 2004-2016.
