The Canadian Pacific Rail’s Holiday Train will be rolling in to Estevan on Sunday afternoon. The train is scheduled to arrive Dec 16 at 3 p.m., and the performance will run from 3:15-3:45 p.m.

Students from the Drewitz School of Dance participated in the Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers syllabus jazz and tap examinations Nov. 27 and 28. Examiners were Sherri Oberholtzer from Calgary and Debbie Noce from Toronto.

Children from a home schooling group perform a Christmas dance for the residents of the Tatagwa View long-term care centre on Thursday in the Dew Drop In recreation area.

The next performance in the local house concert series will feature a talented young musician from southeast Saskatchewan. McKenzie Warriner and accompanist Danielle Guina will perform Jan. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the lounge at Creighton Lodge.

Fans of musicals directed by Colleen Weimer will once again get to see an entertaining production, as she will bring together performers of a wide range of ages for the “Annie” musical, to be performed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec.

Two months, three artists and a lifetime experience. The Midale Central School (MCS) received a part of the Artists in School grant through the Saskatchewan Arts Board.

The Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) has staged many memorable musicals over the years, but this year’s show might have generated a first. All four performances of this year’s production of Footloose at the school’s cafetorium were sold out.
