The James Weir People’s Choice art exhibition is now open for entries by artists from Weyburn and the southeast region. The annual art competition will be on display from Jan. 5 to Feb. 9, 2017, and the reception and awards will be held on Feb.

Crocus 80 Theatre will be presenting the musical production of “Pinocchio” as this year’s Christmas Dessert Theatre, with three performances to be held at the Tommy Douglas Performing Arts Centre. The play will be held on Friday and Saturday, Dec.

The Northwest Chorus and the Southeast Chorus have been teaming up to perform popular and lesser-known Christmas carols for nearly half a century. They’ll present their 46th annual Celebration of Christmas music on Dec.

The Stoughton Swimming Pool presented the play “Somebody Famous” on Nov. 18, 29, 25, 26, and Dec. 2 to a packed Legion Hall.

The Redvers Adult Drama Club hosts an annual, much-anticipated, drama production each year. This year they decided to perform the two-act comedy by Jones, Hope and Wooten called, “Farce of Nature.” The dinner theatre was hosted for three days.

Members of the Southeast Chorus and the Northwest Chorus have wrapped up their rehearsals, and are looking forward to performing their 46th annual celebration of Christmas music, which has the theme of Glory to the King this year.
