April is Local Artist Month at the local galleries. All three galleries feature the work of local artists. A Gala Reception will be held on Friday, April 25 beginning at the Signal Hill Art Gallery at 7 p.m.

The Weyburn Police Service have recovered power tools along with some hand tools in a stolen vehicle, and would like the public's help in identifying them so they could be returned to the rightful owners.

Arron Fossenier grinds a piece of metal during welding class at the Weyburn Comprehensive School. Fossenier and his classmates were practicing their welding skills on Wednesday, which will prepare them for a job after graduation.

In four weeks, a Day of Pink will be held in Weyburn by the Canadian Red Cross. This special day was created to celebrate respect and to encourage others to join anti-bullying movements.

The Weyburn Public Library is preparing for the first book sale of the year set for Tuesday, April 1 to Thursday, April 3. The book sale will be open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
