Lucas Welsh plays guitar and Ivonne Hernandez of Victoria, B.C., plays a self-penned tune for the audience of Weyburn's 13th annual Old Tyme Fiddling Contest, held Saturday at McKenna Hall.

Students at Weyburn Junior High practice their songs after school on Wednesday. The students were singing a collection of songs that all require them to hit some high notes for their upcoming spring concert.

The Weyburn Humane Society will be holding its fourth annual Garage Sale as a fundraiser for the animal shelter on May 2 to 4 in the west end of City Centre Mall.

The Sun Country Kids Club will be hosting their second annual trade show on May 4. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McKenna Hall.

After two casting calls, the Crocus 80 Theatre troupe is still looking to fill seven roles in the upcoming production of 'Circle the Crops'. Two of the parts are written for women and five are written for men.

Weyburn and area residents are encouraged to celebrate life and fight cancer during the annual Relay for Life fundraiser. The 13th annual Weyburn Relay for Life will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15.

Saskatchewan born artist Codie Prevost recently performed in Arcola at the MacMurray Theatre. Prevost played on both Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13.

For the month of April, all three of Weyburn's art galleries are featuring the works of local artists. "It doesn't happen very often," said City Curator Ron Ror.
