A common complaint whenever there is news of graffiti and other mischief around town, or reports of young people out drinking in a park and causing a disturbance as well as damages, is that young people seem to have no direction or purpose.

Quota International of Weyburn will be holding the 59th Annual Festival of Carols at Grace United Church this Sunday, December 2. The first set of performances begins at 2:00 p.m.

The Fall Show and Sale will be held at Knox Hall on Saturday, December 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce will present the 19th Annual Parade of Lights on Thursday, December 6. The parade will begin at the Weyburn Exhibition Grounds at 7:00 p.m.

The Weyburn branch of Canadian Mental Health Association will be hosting its annual 'Just in Time for Christmas' trade show and sale on December 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge club plays twice a week and, as of the middle of November, the club will continue to play Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m., but games will no longer be played on Wednesday evenings.
