Marie Calder’s quest to find family members from all 21 people who died in a plane crash south of Estevan nearly 75 years ago is complete.

The Weyburn Concert Series has issued a last reminder to holders of season tickets, or single tickets for Tenille Arts or the American Woman concerts to get their refunds before the deadline of Aug. 31, 2020.

Michael Dawson has never seen anything like the last few months during his music career. The long-time musician and former Estevan resident has been the executive director of SaskMusic since 2015.

The Estevan Art Gallery and Museum (EAGM) is encouraging people to seek out the great art that is located throughout the city, and take a selfie with it, through their inaugural cultural scavenger hunt.

The Estevan Public Library has had steady activity since it reopened last month. People could start returning materials through a a drop box at the front and the inside doors of the library on June 30.

Although food from Fresh Start was available in Assiniboia’s Shurniak Gallery during the province’s cautious and phased reopening, the gallery and exhibits weren’t accessible for the public since March.

While the Oxbow Arts and Cultural Committee won’t be hosting its annual Bow Valley Jamboree this year, that doesn’t mean it isn’t having something for the community this summer.

Marcie Erick grew up on a farm in the Arcola district and now lives in Swift Current with her family. She recently returned to the area, when she was completing a project that is very dear to her heart.

Weyburn’s own Tenille Arts received two nominations for the Canadian Country Music Association awards, announced on Wednesday. She is up for Album of the Year for “Love, Heartbreak and Everything in Between”, and for the Rising Star Award.
